About

Glad you stopped by

Race Lane Restaurant opened in the Village of East Hampton in June 2010. When we heard the old Laundry space was for sale, we knew our lives were going to change forever. Jay was familiar with the space having worked with the founders of the Laundry years ago and our dream to live minutes from the ocean was coming true.

It’s been nonstop since we opened! We are proud to welcome all locals and visitors in the same way our family was been welcomed to the lovely East End of Long Island, with kindness and generosity, fresh, delicious food and great wine.

Please join us by the fireplace this winter or in our courtyard at the bar this summer. We look forward to meeting you…

Inside

Lighter, fresher, more spacious. We stayed true to the bones of the old Laundry. The couches around the fireplace are cozier… and dare we say the bar is hopping?

Outside

A place to eat oysters and sip champagne… the garden is lush and inviting. And with a busy outdoor bar, you may never want to go inside.

Our Chef

Award winning Executive Chef Dana Lamel spent the last two years opening several of  Todd English’s restaurants. He joins us now in East Hampton with a repertoire that showcases unique American and Mediterranean dishes that are always a surprise.

The food

Fresh local ingredients. Daily and seasonal specials, depending upon the chef’s fancy. Classics with a twist! Favorites include baked macaroni & cheese, beer braised short ribs, fresh weekly pasta specials, chocolate/chocolate chip bread pudding and Nutella Crème Brûlée. Not pretentious, just mouthwatering, well prepared food that makes choosing really difficult.

The bar

Fun, friendly with interesting cocktails and even more interesting characters and conversation.
Try old American favorites like our Bloody Mary, Pimms Cup and Champagne Cocktail, or the
Dark & Stormy.
